American scientist Albert Kligman was the first to understand the role that the stratum corneum plays in skin health. Our research builds on the science of this pioneer, who made his observations during the 1970s.

Studies show that the skin’s health and beauty depend on the integrity of the stratum corneum. When the stratum corneum is destroyed, the skin becomes dehydrated and sensitive. If the skin remains in this state for a long time, it becomes susceptible to serious dermatological disease.
